The former municipality canteen in Łańcut built in 1890’s, houses since 2010 the Historical Museum of the city and the region. The museum provides three exhibitions: middle class life, ethnography and military.
The first exhibition is a recreation of the interior of a middle class house: a bedroom, a living room and a study. Here you will find items which were common in middle class houses from the 19th and 20th century.
The second exhibition is dedicated to folk art of the District of Łańcut. You can see among others folk costumes (especially the Łańcut outfit) and sculptures of local folk artists for example from the pottery region.
If you are passionate on history, you’ll be happy to visit the exhibition about the 10th Cavalry Regiment. You will learn a lot about the rich history of this cavalry regiment from Łańcut.
